Soludo’s Second Term Will Accelerate Growth in Anambra — Obi Cubana
Businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, widely known as Obi Cubana, has voiced confidence that Governor Charles Soludo’s second tenure will bring faster progress to Anambra State.
According to earlier reports, Soludo emerged victorious in the November 2025 governorship election conducted across 5,718 polling units. The incumbent secured 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 99,445 votes.
Soludo officially took the oath of office for his second term on Tuesday.
Obi Cubana, who attended the inauguration alongside political figures, business leaders, and traditional rulers, described the governor’s re-election as a clear endorsement of his leadership by the people of Anambra. In a statement he personally signed, the entrepreneur said the outcome reflects public approval of Soludo’s governance style and performance.
He noted that the fresh mandate offers an opportunity to build on existing reforms and drive further growth across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
“Governor Soludo has introduced a renewed sense of purpose and direction in Anambra. His focus on economic growth, infrastructure development, and human capital advancement resonates strongly with the expectations of Ndi Anambra both locally and abroad,” he said.
Obi Cubana added that he believes the governor’s second term will strengthen policies aimed at enhancing the business climate, upgrading infrastructure, and boosting industrial development.
He further stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the government, private sector, and local communities in unlocking the state’s economic potential and expanding opportunities for young people.
The entrepreneur also praised the people of Anambra for their commitment to democracy, noting that their support at the polls reaffirmed confidence in Soludo’s administration.
