President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on a two-day working visit to Lagos on Wednesday and Thursday, during which he will inaugurate six major infrastructure projects delivered by the state government.
The visit, slated for April 8 and 9, forms part of efforts to highlight ongoing development initiatives under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. State officials say the projects reflect strategic investments aimed at improving transportation, governance, education, and economic productivity.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the projects to be commissioned include the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building, the Alausa Multi-Agency Complex, the redeveloped Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, and a mid-level agro-produce hub in Ibeju-Lekki.
The Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, described as a major transport intervention, is expected to ease traffic congestion across key corridors such as Ojota, Maryland, Opebi, and Allen, thereby improving mobility and reducing travel time for residents.
Officials also noted that the Alausa Multi-Agency Complex is designed to enhance public service delivery by housing multiple government agencies within a single administrative hub, while the Tolu Schools Complex redevelopment is aimed at expanding access to quality education with upgraded facilities for thousands of students.
The state government said the projects underscore its commitment to sustainable urban development and economic growth, adding that the President’s visit highlights collaboration between federal and state authorities in advancing infrastructure.
Meanwhile, authorities have announced traffic and security arrangements ahead of the visit, including the deployment of additional traffic management personnel to ensure smooth movement across major routes during the commissioning events.
Residents have been urged to cooperate with relevant agencies and adhere to traffic advisories as the state prepares to host the President for the official unveiling of the projects.
