Tinubu Visits Jos, Promises Justice for Victims of Plateau Attack

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed sympathy with victims of the recent deadly attack in Jos, assuring that those responsible will be brought to justice.

The President made this known on Thursday through his official social media account after meeting with stakeholders and victims affected by the violence in Plateau State.

“This afternoon, I spent time with stakeholders and victims of the recent terror incident in Jos, Plateau State.

“No amount of money can bring back the dead, but the Federal Government will do our best to comfort them, walk with them and provide necessary assistance. Rhoda Favour, I feel your pain but no matter what we say, we cannot bring Ayuba back.

“We will find the perpetrators of this dastardly acts.”

The President’s visit follows a deadly attack that took place on Sunday night, March 29, 2026, in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government Area.

Gunmen reportedly stormed the community in the evening, shooting at residents and causing panic. Several people were killed, while many others sustained injuries. Residents said the attackers arrived suddenly and opened fire, leaving the community in shock.
