Edo State’s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has made his first appointment, Fred Itua, who will serve as the Chief Press Secretary.
The appointment was announced just a day before Okpebholo is set to assume office on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Itua will begin his role immediately upon Okpebholo’s swearing-in.
Fred Itua is a well-respected journalist and previously worked as the Assistant Political Editor for The Sun newspaper.
Okpebholo is taking over from the outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Good job my amiable governor. Also consider Osigwe omo Ikiroda for any media appointment. I don’t know him, but his name resonates with me because he made so many publications during the electioneering for APC and his name was everywhere defending the in coming governor.
