Ebonyi Kidnap Kingpin Arrested In Anambra State For Kidnap of Priest Working With Ebube Muonso

An Ebonyi-born Anambra based kidnap kingpin was arrested on Friday in connection with the kidnap of a reverend father under father Ebube Muonso.

The 36-year old kidnap gang leader who identified himself as Nweze Oliver from Ngbo in Ebonyi state, said he has lived in Anambra State since 2012 where he molded blocks before he became a kidnapper.

In the video of his confession which ahs gone viral on social media, Oliver said he did not orchestrate the kidnap of the Reverend father.

“I was not around that day but when I got back to the ‘office'(referring to the kidnappers’ den), I saw the Reverend father and my boys said they jammed him on the road…” He said.

Narrating how they operate, Oliver said his gang consists of 16 kidnappers himself being the leader. According to him, they collected N20m before the priest was released.

Meanwhile, the police have already arrested one chinonso from Ibaji in Kogi State and two other members of the gang while others are being tracked.

Oliver remains in custody.
