“As part of efforts to meet the infrastructural needs of the people of Ebonyi State and to enhance both urban and rural road expansion in the state, the EXCO after deliberations approved the construction of the following roads:
i. Ukwuachi-Oshiegbe Road, measuring 5 kilometres, with 6.2 kilometres shoulder of existing concrete pavement in Ezza North LGA.
ii. 4-kilometre Umueziokwu, Nwegbu-Ugwu, Odida Onuafia-Amankwo Road, Onicha LGA.
iii. 10,843.88m TTC —Iboko Road, Izzi LGA.
The council further directed the State Council on Public Procurement to advertise the award of the approved roads for immediate action.
The council also approved the construction of the following roads to be executed through direct labour:
i. 200 metres Ezi-Akani Ukpa—Ngodo Road leading to Ngwongwo Community stream through Professor Uro-Chukwu’s Residence in Ezi Akani Ukpa, Afikpo LGA.
ii. 172m Ogbodudu Street, Kpirikpiri Abakaliki.
All in concrete pavement”, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Engr Jude Chikadibia Okpor said while briefing journalists on the outcome of the state Executive council meeting.
