The police have disclosed a case of a man in Memphis, Tennessee, who was shot by his American pet dog which had jumped on his bed and set off a loaded gun.

Oreo is a 1-year-old pit bull and it had had its paw stuck in the trigger guard and ended up hitting the trigger which hurt its owner.

Narrating the details on Wednesday, the police said the man was asleep with his lover when the incident happened.

This happened on Monday morning leaving him with a graze to his left thigh. He was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was treated fine.
