Leaving NNPP to APC a Sin – Kwakwanso Blows Hot

The Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso —has warned that everyone who left the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano to the All Progressives Congress (APC), will regret their decision.

Addressing supporters from Takai Local Government Area at his residence in Miller road, Kano, on Friday —the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement accused those who left of turning their backs on the ideals and loyalty of the movement.

This is coming after the Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Abdulrahman Kawu along with several other federal lawmakers from the state, defected to the APC.

According to Kwakwanso, the defection is the worse political sin and the highest level of betrayal. He also stated that the defectors left where the masses are put first (NNPP) and moved to where the masses are not considered (APC).

“Kano South is a lesson. Voters rejected spaghetti N200 and Atamfa (wrappers) and were patient to vote for the NNPP.

“But those who won the election among us decided to abandon the masses and join those who do not have the masses at heart but are only after what they will get for themselves and their families.

“There is no worse political sin than leaving the party that gave you the opportunity and support but later you abandoned the party. This is the highest level of betrayal,” he said, warning that they would regret their decisions in due time.
