Ebonyi APC Not Moved by Coalition Movement – Stanley Emegha
The Ebonyi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC), on sunday stated that the coalition movement by some of the top politicians in the country has got nothing on them.
This statement was made during a media chat in Abakaliki, by the state party chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha.
According to him, Governor Francis Nwifuru’s achievements and inclusive leadership have neutralised opposition forces in the state.
Emegha who criticized the coalition group members for jumping from party to party, said it is only a man without any good idea that would do that.
“Any man with good ideas won’t be jumping from one party to another every election season. When it’s not them, they call for a coalition. It can’t always be about you,” he said.
He lauded the governor describing his regime as an act of God and due to his (Nwifuru’s) popularity and influence, the coalition movement would not be effective in Ebonyi state.
He said; “He is someone with listening ears, and his government is all-inclusive. The people are happy with him. So, they have no reason to consider joining any coalition.
“In Ebonyi, we are fully prepared. Even if the coalition is making waves elsewhere, it can’t succeed here because the governor is doing marvelously well, and the people are solidly behind him.”

Furthermore, the chairman revealed that other opposing structures within the state would soon be collapsed totally and leaders would join the APC, including a sitting member of the House of Representatives.
While he affirmed strong rooting of all the state APC members, he called on to them to hold on tight.
He continued, “We are committed to collapsing the remaining opposition structures in the state. I’ve been in touch with a few of them, and in the coming weeks, a House of Representatives member will officially join our party.
“We are not panicking. Our supporters should also stay calm. The masses are with us because of the good governance we’re enjoying under Governor Nwifuru. Those forming a coalition are wasting their time — they lack the capacity to unseat the APC in 2027.”
Speaking on how the state party would manage interests of opposition party members that must oppose, Emegha expressed strong faith in the governor to handle things the right way.
He stated; “The governor is the leader of the party in the state. He knows who is fit for any position. He knows the popular candidates and will always act in the interest of the people. Everything will be done according to party rules.”
