Atiku’s Resignation Insignificant to Nigerians – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clarified that the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s official repose of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the ADC coalition movement does not sway Nigerians.

In a statement by the party spokesperson Seye Oladejo, in Lagos on Wednesday, he noted that the APC remains the dominating political party in Nigeria with good governance.

Recall that Atiku officially resigned from the PDP on Wednesday afternoon where he cited his reason to be about irreconcilable differences within the party.

In a bid to solidify with the ADC coalition movement, Atiku decided to completely and officially let go of the PDP against the upcoming general election in 2027.

Meanwhile, Oladejo in his statement said Atiku’s resignation is a desperate, yet unsurprising, move reflecting a fractured opposition.

He further stated that resignation is a confirmation of the internal collapse of the PDP just as he slammed Atiku stating that he lacks political consistency and Nigerians deserve better.

According to him, Atiku’s actions reflect ambition without principle, not driven by ideology but by relentless personal pursuit.

“Whether PDP, ADC or another, Nigerians remain politically aware and will not be swayed.

“The APC stands as the only party delivering real governance, economic gains, and solid infrastructure,” he said.

He said Atiku’s move allows voters to evaluate the integrity and consistency of those aspiring to lead.

Oladejo reaffirmed APC’s commitment to national unity, sustainable progress, and purposeful leadership.

He encouraged APC loyalists in Lagos to remain united and active at the grassroots for electoral success.

He added; “Victory depends on our unity, past performance, and focus on people-centred development.

“Nigerians deserve visionary leadership, not theatrical comebacks. APC is prepared to lead and win.”
