I Am Emotional – Soludo Says as he Commissions 13km Road in Anambra
The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has inaugurated the newly constructed 13-kilometre Nzam road connecting the local government and other communities.
According to the report, the headquarters of Anambra West LGA had been neglected for years due to a lack of a motorable access road.
Speaking during his visit to various markets and locations, after the commissioning of the road on Wednesday, Soludo declared that with the commissioning, residents can now commute on a tarred road.
Highlighting other fulfilled commitments he has made since assuming office, Soludo stated that the commissioning was an emotional journey for him. “I made a promise accompanied by a significant consequence during the last gubernatorial campaign.
“Today, that promise has been fulfilled as we can now drive into Nzam in September. I welcome prominent figures from Anambra West politics who have chosen to join the strong political movement of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, which is like a ‘religion’ in the state,” he added.
The governor stressed that he is currently focused on project inspection, commissioning, and launching initiatives, insisting that he is committed to an agenda with a set timeline.
According to him, his administration is on a mission of transformation and development, reaching out to those who have been overlooked and neglected.
Speaking, the state Commissioner for Local Government, Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, noted every local government of the state has benefited from the democratic dividends in less than four years under Soludo’s leadership.
During the event, the State Chairman of the APGA, Ifeatu Obiokoye, welcomed new members from other political parties who defected to APGA.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Chief John Ozoemena said they would support to ensure that Soludo and APGA are re-elected for another term of four years.
