The Honourable Minister of Works and immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator Engr. David Umahi, CON, has formally signed the nomination form of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, for his second term bid under the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring his full support for the Governor’s re-election.
Umahi stressed that it is the rightful turn of Ebonyi North to complete a second tenure in office, in line with the tradition in Ebonyi State. He expressed confidence that the Governor’s re-election would record overwhelming success.
Speaking while signing the nomination form, the former Governor reaffirmed his commitment to the political understanding and unity that have continued to shape the progress of Ebonyi State.
According to him: “This is the nomination form for His Excellency Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru for his second tenure. I insist that it’s the right of the North in Ebonyi State to go for second tenure and I wholeheartedly support his re-election.
I pray to God that his re-election will be a huge success. I support him with all my heart.”
