Ondo: Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Donates 10M to Okitipupa Fire victims
The senator representing Ondo state south central district in the national assembly -Jimoh Ibrahim, allegedly donates 10m naira to victims of the fire incident in Okitipupa, Okitipupa LGA Ondo state.
On December 12th, 2024, tragedy befell traders in Okitipupa market when fire engulfed the market at midnight consuming goods of traders.
The fire raked more than 18 shops with goods worth over 50 million naira.
Meanwhile, senator Ibrahim who visited the scene on thursday with traditional rulers sympathized with the traders on their loss;
“I was told you would have been able to put out the fire had there been water, therefore, I’ll come and sink a borehole, to prevent a reoccurrence. I will also install solar lambs at the market.” The senator gave his speech and donated a sum of 10 million naira to the traders.
The traders thanked him through their market leader, Mr Florence Irinyemi, who spoke on their behalf.
