Why We Gave Each Ezza North Worker #50,000 Palliative — ALGON Boss

The chairman of Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi State, Hon. Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nomeh(ALGON chairman), former commissioner for agriculture, has narrated what he is doing to better the lives of his people saying he distributes #50,000 palliative to workers in the council for their welfare.

“We are very much concerned with the welfare of our people; hence we distributed palliatives of #50,000 to every worker of the Council”, He said.

In his interview with VANGUARD, Chief Ali said he has touched the lives of his people through many ways including Agriculture, infrastructure, palliatives, Education, Health, etc.

According to him, his administration has attached so much importance to Agriculture to ensure food security. He mentioned that they have given soft loans, modern farming equipment and others to farmers. Also, he said they have organized several trainings on extension for the farmers.

“In the area of infrastructure, we have completed the perimeter fence of the entire Council headquarters, Ebiaji, covering 50 hectares of land. We installed 24 kilometers of Solar streetlights at some strategic locations in the council headquarters, Ebiaji and other parts of Ezza North council, including Okposhi Umuoghara, Ndiaguazu Umuoghara, Okaleru Umuezeokaoha, Ogboji,Ekka and Udenyi Umuezeoka.” He said concerning infrastructural development.

Additionally, Ali said his council restored light at the Ezza North council headquarters including other places; Ebiaji, Ndiaguazu Umuoghara, Ogboji, Umuezeoka, Okaleru Umuezeokaoha, Inyere and Enyim in Okposhi who according to him, had been in darkness for 7 years before his intervention.

Most importantly, Ali highlighted his council’s interest in Human Capital Development stating that they paid allowances to past political office holders of the the council from 2017-2022.

To crown it all, the council boss said his council  sponsored 2,300 indigenes of Ezza North to be enrolled into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Also, he mentioned that they have handed out about 11 motorcycles to the council’s health workers.

“The purpose of being in government is to deliver service. And I believe that I am delivering service.” He said.
