US-based Nigerian-Igbo, professor Chukwudubem Okafor (64) has allegedly killed himself after shooting his wife—Cheryl V. (37), in the USA. According to the report, this is coming after the wife left the professor just a few days before the incident.
“Calls from the US reveals that professor Dubem Okafor who is an English professor in Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, had planned to meet his wife at his sister’s place Patricia Ofilin, in block 300 of Pear Street, where he shot her multiple times and shot himself once in the head” the police said.
This incident allegedly happened around 3:45pm on Sunday, 2nd February, 2025 as the police found a small handgun at the scene behind the bodies.
Berks County coroner declared the professor’s death a Suicide and his wife’s death, a Homicide.
Professor Dubem Okafor was a respected Poet and Author of many best selling books including ‘Dance of Death’, while his late wife was an artist.
