Abakaliki — Barrister Joshua Itumo, a legal practitioner and politician, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Abakaliki South Constituency seat in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his declaration message, Itumo unveiled his ambition with the slogan “It’s Youth O’Clock,” signaling a push for greater youth participation in governance.
In a campaign post sighted by Newsmaxng on Sunday, Itumo also introduced his governance mantra “JOSHUA,” which stands for Justice, Obedience, Service to humanity, Honesty, Voter relevance, and Accountability.
The aspirant described his candidacy as one focused on inclusive representation and grassroots development. He believes it is time for a generational shift in leadership in Ebonyi State.
Itumo’s emergence adds to the growing number of aspirants jostling for the Abakaliki South seat ahead of the next general elections.
Political activities are gradually heating up in the state as stakeholders prepare for the polls.
