Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has dismissed reports suggesting that he criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or distanced himself from the administration’s policies.
Tuggar, who recently left the Federal Executive Council to pursue his political ambition in Bauchi State, clarified that comments attributed to him in some media reports had been misrepresented.
According to him, he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and continues to support President Tinubu and the reform agenda of the administration.
The former minister stressed that nothing in his recent engagements should be interpreted as an attack on the President or the federal government.
Tuggar’s clarification comes amid reports and social media discussions claiming he had taken a critical position against the Tinubu administration following his exit from the cabinet.
He however, has reiterated his commitment to the party and pledged continued support for President Tinubu’s leadership, dismissing claims of any disagreement with the administration.
