Veteran television host Frank Edoho has declined to offer marriage advice to newlyweds Peller and Jarvis, choosing instead to simply wish the couple well.
Edoho was among the guests at the couple’s wedding ceremony on Saturday, where he was approached and asked to share some words of wisdom with the newlyweds.
Rather than give the traditional marriage advice often expected from an older guest at such an occasion, the former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Nigeria host admitted that he was not in a position to do so.
“You’re asking me, who knows nothing about marriage, to advise the couple? I am going to give my wishes instead,” Edoho said.
He then turned his attention to the couple, wishing Peller happiness, blessings and peace in his marriage.
“I wish Peller the happiest of life, the best of blessings and the utmost of peace,” he added.
His response has drawn attention partly because of the public scrutiny surrounding his own marital experiences in recent months.
Edoho was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang. Their marriage ended after several years, and the former couple have three children together. He later married Sandra Onyenucheya in 2013, with whom he has two children.
Edoho confirmed in 2025 that his second marriage had also ended, saying at the time, “Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess.”
The breakdown of his marriage to Sandra later became the subject of a highly publicised dispute, with both sides making allegations about what contributed to the collapse of the relationship. Edoho alleged that Sandra had been unfaithful with singer Chike, while Sandra subsequently made her own allegations against Edoho. Neither side’s allegations should be treated as established facts without independent evidence.
Interestingly, Peller himself had previously spoken about relationship advice he received from Edoho.
During a livestream in May, the content creator recalled that Edoho had advised him and his partner, Jarvis, to keep their relationship away from excessive social media exposure.
“Frank Edoho spoke about me and my baby’s relationship last year. He was telling me that I should do things for her but not put it out on social media and we should not put our relationship on the internet. He advised me on everything, see what is happening to him now,” Peller said at the time.
Peller and Jarvis have since taken their relationship to the next stage, with the pair completing their traditional marriage rites in June after Peller proposed earlier in the year.
Against that backdrop, Edoho’s decision to avoid giving marriage advice at Peller’s wedding has naturally attracted attention, with many readers likely to see the moment as an ironic one given the broadcaster’s own experiences.
For Edoho, however, the message was simple: rather than present himself as an authority on marriage, he chose to offer the newlyweds his good wishes and let them begin their journey together.
