The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has announced the birth of twin princes with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The revered monarch shared the news in a statement posted on his official social media pages on Friday, expressing gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the children and the wellbeing of their mother.
According to the statement, both Olori Mariam and the newborn princes are in good health. The royal family also described the development as a moment of joy for the entire House of Oduduwa.
The announcement has since attracted congratulatory messages from well-wishers, traditional institutions, and admirers across the country, with many celebrating the latest addition to the royal household.
Oba Ogunwusi became the 51st Ooni of Ife in 2015 following the passing of Oba Okunade Sijuwade.
The monarch is widely regarded as one of the most influential traditional rulers in Nigeria and a prominent voice in Yoruba cultural affairs.
