Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has said he would serve only one term of four years if elected President of Nigeria, insisting that nothing would make him remain in office beyond that period.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Obi stated that he believes a single four-year tenure would promote stability and allow him focus on delivering results rather than seeking re-election.
According to him, he would not spend “a day longer than four years” in office, even under pressure.
The former Anambra State governor also criticised the current economic situation in the country, expressing concern over rising hardship, borrowing and the increasing cost of living facing many Nigerians.
