President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ebonyi State on Saturday, securing all 207,579 valid votes cast across the state.
The exercise took place simultaneously in the 13 local government areas and 171 wards of the state, with party members turning out in large numbers to participate in the direct primary.
Announcing the results in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, who served as the state collation officer, said a total of 215,490 party members were registered for the exercise, while 207,579 were accredited and voted.
According to the results declared, Tinubu’s challenger, Stanley Osifo, did not secure any vote.
Tinubu recorded strong figures across all local government areas, including 25,453 votes in Ezza North, 19,341 in Ikwo, 19,160 in Ishielu, and 19,088 in Ezza South.
Governor Nwifuru described the process as peaceful, transparent and orderly, commending party members for their participation throughout the exercise.
Speaking during the primary in his Umunaga Ward in Ohaozara Local Government Area, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, said the outcome reflected the confidence of APC members in Tinubu’s leadership and policies.
Umahi declared that Ebonyi remained a stronghold of the APC, insisting that the state had fully aligned with the ruling party. He also expressed confidence that Tinubu would further address insecurity and continue infrastructure development if re-elected in 2027.
“Ebonyi State is totally APC. We are only APC.
“Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for, ” he said.
